How Indidivuals Can Help

Donate. Recycle. Don't Throw Away

We get frequent calls from individuals who have items they wish to recycle. Here at Milwaukee Textile Recycling, we work mostly in volume, with organizations that are recycling hundreds of pounds of clothing at one time. Our goal is to provide those organizations with an opportunity to raise funds through this collection. However, it is always beneficial for individuals to consider recycling their textiles.

Where to Donate

We suggest that you donate your clothing for recycling to your local charity thrift organization. (Examples include Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc.). Often, a large percentage of what is donated to these organizations is not in good enough condition or fashionable style to sell in their stores. The excess and non-wearable items are collected and sold to Milwaukee Textile Recycling, or other textile recyclers. Your donation will be appreciated, as these organizations greatly benefit from their relationship with recyclers.
